ThinMan is the Praim graphical software tool designed to perform the management and the monitoring of ThinOX/Agile devices connected to the network. For DEMO purposes, it is absolutely necessary to install ThinMan since it assigns the trial license to ThinOX4PC and Agile4PC devices (a maximum of 4 licenses of each type).
Agile4PC is a software solution for Windows thin clients and PCs. It offers a simplified and optimized interface to access the enterprise Cloud resources. Furthermore, it prevents any tampering of the workspace. A simplified graphical user interface that allows the user initiate connections to his resources with a single click. Moreover, the terminal is lockdown to avoid the user from Windows Desktop complications.
ThinOX4PC designed to extend the life of your third-party PCs, notebooks or thin clients, turning them into powerful thin clients by using and, optionally installing, the ThinOX O.S. on them. To verify the compatibility of your hardware with the ThinOX4PC you will need to create a USB key with the ThinOX O.S. (ThinOX4PC live USB key version). If there are no incompatibility issues, you can start working directly from the USB key and, optionally, install the ThinOX4PC O.S on your device.

The ThinMan discovery process will build a list of devices. On the image below you can find examples of discovered devices. The highlighted section shows some devices that communicate with the ThinMan Server (Notified column has WSS value) and some devices that do not communicate with the ThinMan Server (Notified column has HTTPS Unlinked value).
To establish a communication between a device containing a Praim component (either devices with ThinOX O.S or devices having Agile) and ThinMan you will need to configure your DHCP server and/or your DNS Server.
Both, ThinOX O.S and Agile Praim configurator, contain a component to configure ThinMan (see images below).
All Praim devices are pre-configured with a DHCP option with value 163 and a DNS option with PRAIMSERVER value. The client will use first the DHCP option and then the DNS option to contact the ThinMan server. If you configure your environment using the network parameters every Praim device will know which is the ThinMan Server in the network and will be able to notify himself. This is also true for brand out-of-the-box Praim devices that can be connected to the network and could point to the ThinMan Server without any configuration from the IT Manager.
For more information, read How to configure the DHCP Option 163
For more information, read How to configure a DNS Server with PRAIMSERVER hostname.
Execute the Agile_vx.y.z.exe directly on your device.
Click on "Install" to proceed.
After finishing with the installation, click on "Finish".
Now, the Praim Agile software will appear among your Windows Programs.
Follow the instructions to activate your Praim Agile4PC with the ThinMan Server
Follow the steps below in order to configure your Device and start your trial.
For more information about Agile and advanced configuration go to the Agile main page.
Insert the USB Key where you want to write the ThinOX4PC -T9050 Live operating system (NOTE: all the content of the USB key will be lost) and execute the Rufus tool.
When the operation is finished (Rufus will notify it) close the Rufus software and eject the USB Key using the Safely Remove Hardware and Eject Media procedure on Windows PC. Once the USB Key has been created use it on a device (access the BIOS Boot Menu and select the USB key). The ThinOX4PC - T9050 Live USB Key will not install anything on the device used to run it. It is an operating system that runs on the USB Key and does not affect any storage attached to the device (including the hard disk). After using the ThinOX4PC - T9050 Live on a device, just shut it down, remove the USB Key and power it on again. The original operating system will start.
Use the previously created USB key to boot the device where you want to install ThinOX4PC-T9050. The device will start with the ThinOX4PC O.S. as shown in the image below.
