Prevent system shutdown This setting enables or disables shutdown options in the Windows Start menu under Start → Power. When enabled, the shutdown option is hidden from users, and the hardware power button is also affected. With Prevent Shutdown enabled, a short press of the power button (under 5 seconds) will be ignored, preventing accidental shutdowns.
Screensaver It sets the conditions for activating the screensaver after a period of inactivity.
Display It specifies the conditions for turning off the display after a set period of inactivity.
Sleep It determines the conditions for putting the system to sleep after a specified period of inactivity.
The option Let the user decide applies the corresponding setting configured in Windows system settings.
When selecting Enable for Screensaver or Sleep, or Turn off after (minutes) for Display, a field appears on the right for entering a custom value. This allows the user to specify the idle time interval after which the feature will activate.
Idle time ratio for Screensaver, Display and Sleep settings
When configuring idle times, ensure that the sleep time is set to be longer than the screensaver time.
You can prevent the activation of the Screensaver and Sleep settings by selecting the Disable option.
You can set the Display option to Always ON using this setting.
