
To access the General Option Settings window you have to select Tools Menu → General Options.

Available configuration panels are:
- General - to define default parameters of the console.
- Network:
- To define specific actions on ThinMan Services' startup;
- To define the rule for automatic device assignment to a group
- To enable the WOL Relay.
- SNMP - to configure the searching and the management of the third party devices supporting standard SNMP protocol.
- Devices Details — to define which attributes (columns) will be showed in the ThinMan local console interface.
- Gateway - to define the Gateways' default configuration.
- PXE/TFTP — to enable services needed to clone, backup, and restore Windows-based thin client (WES7 version 3.x.y and lower, XPe all version, WES8 all version).
- LDAP Servers — to enable ThinMan to use an LDAP Server as authentication server.
- ThinMan Local Users — to define ThinMan Local users.
- Secondary Server — to enable a Secondary ThinMan Server.
- Activities — to define the maximum number of concurrent activities that can be executed when a scheduled activity starts.
- Updates - to define which users are notified when a new version of ThinMan is available.
