Through the General Configuration you can organize the initial sort order of the tree and set up the use of FTP Passive Mode in thin client communication.
General options can be managed by clicking on the "General" tab from the "General Option Settings" window.

In this panel you can setup how groups, devices and sessions will be shown and ordered in ThinMan user interface at the start of the console:
- Sort Devices: can be either ordered by Model and Name or by device name (Name).
- Sort Groups: can be either ordered by creation sequence (As Created) or by group name (Name).
- Sort Sessions: can be either ordered by Type and Name or by session name (Name).
- Sort Classifier: can be either ordered by creation sequence (As Created) or by classifier name (Name).
Note
Devices order can be changed later by clicking on the columns name. This order will be lost whether you restart the console.
- View compressed devices list (Classifier, Activity and Policy): if this option is activated then the list of the devices associated to a policy, an activity or a classifier is not automatically shown when the policy, activity or classifier is selected, but it requires a specific action. This is useful if there are a lot of devices associated to an object and the reload time takes a lot (it can happen with lot of devices associated to an object).
These parameters are automatically proposed when you execute the Set ThinMan Server Address available in the Contextual Menu - Special Functions command. See more information on this page: How to Setup ThinMan Address on Thin Client.
