ThinOXEM (ThinOX Extended Maintenance) is a license that extends the firmware compatibility and allows you to update hardware devices already well into the Life Cycle (e.g. over the End-Of-Maintenance date, or beyond) to the newer version of ThinOX, such as the lately released ThinOX 12.

compatibility with the more modern farms and including the respective Microsoft Teams optimization.

¶ Update devices to ThinOX12 with Extended Maintenance
- It is required the ThinMan console version be at least 8.4.7.
- In order to update a ThinOX model previously mentioned to ThinOX12 you need to purchase (refer to your salesman) and upload the ThinOXEM license file on the License Manager.
- Be sure you have enough ThinOXEM licenses, including the right number of devices of the above mentioned models that you need to upgrade.
- Open the Custom Command Repository and add the Enable-ThinOX-Extended-Maintenance_1.0.par that you will find on ThinMan_Setup_Folder\PrivateCommands (E.g. C:\Program Files\Praim\ThinMan\PrivateCommands).
- Send the custom command to the devices you want to upgrade exploiting your license.
- Execute the update. You can either execute the update in stand alone or through an scheduled/event activity. In both cases, ThinMan will remind you to send the custom command to proceed with the upgrade. Click on Proceed.
Updated devices requiring a ThinOXEM licenses cannot be used and managed by ThinMan unless there are enough ThinOXEM licenses available. ThinMan will warn this as shown in the message below.
- Verify the license has been applied.
After its update, the device will ask for the ThinOXEM license to the ThinMan server. The status of the license can be seen on the Details area of the ThinMan console.
For every such a device, you will see an Endpoint License Expiration date.
From ThinMan 8.4.7, it has been introduced a new device features: Endpoint License Category.
The field is empty for Praim ThinClient devices with an unlimited license. Otherwise, it belongs to one of the categories indicated on the table below.
