To successfully manage a device using a ThinMan Gateway you have to configure the device to link to the ThinMan Gateway as if it were a ThinMan Server.
IMPORTANT NOTE
Devices that are not linked to the ThinMan Gateway CANNOT be managed.
To configure a device to contact the ThinMan Gateway use the configuration panel called ThinMan.
Remind that you can provide this parameter either using the DHCP Option 163 or resolving the PRAIMSERVER entry into the DNS Server. See more information on How to configure the thin clients to contact the ThinMan Server? and How to Setup ThinMan Address on Thin Client
DHCP Option 163 and PRAIMSERVER DNS entry on WAN
If you are using the ThinMan Gateway in a WAN environment be sure that the DHCP Option 163 or the PRAIMSERVER DNS entry are resolved differently depending on the IP Range or LAN trunk where the device is located.Every device must access its local ThinMan Gateway.
Praim strongly suggests using these parameters to provide the ThinMan Gateway address to the device. In this way, a device can be configured with the Zero Config with Profile Manager.
Open the Configuration Settings - Network and access the ThinMan option to configure the ThinMan Address with the ThinMan Gateway address.
Remember that you can leave the default configuration on the ThinOX device and that you can provide the ThinMan Gateway address using the network environment.
See the guide available at this link: Agile: Configuring the ThinMan Settings.
Open the Windows "Control Panel", open the "Praim Manager" applet and then double click on "ThinMan Agent" icon.
You can see more information on Configuring the ThinMan Server Address - Windows 8 Embedded document pages.
