Allows configuring the environment and the sessions for the IBMiAccess Client - 5250 Session Manager.
Once the session manager is started you can:
- select a previously created session and Start the session
- create a New Display Session
- create a New Printer Session
- create a New Multiple Session
More information is available by selecting the menu Help -> Help Contents.
The window below opens when a New Display Session is created.
Write the Destination Address and choose appropriate parameters.
Click on OK. It will open the window below.
Do not try to connect directly from here. Click on Cancel and then close the Window.
When trying to close the Window, it will be asked to save the session (e.g. MySession1).
Then, close the IBM Session Manager Window and close also the Configuration Settings window.
The connection will appear on the desktop. Double click to launch it.
ΒΆ Configuring a Printer in a printer session
IMPORTANT NOTE
The CUPS Printer applet has to be enabled (see Printers) and has to be configure, follow the steps below.
Once a printer connection is created, to configure the attached printer go to Control Panel and click on IBM Configuration.
The window below will be opened:
Click on "New Printer Session" and select the "Printer Setup" option.
Select the Printer Name and click "OK" to save the configuration.
