Once the device is powered on (and when the initial installation is terminated) depending on its configuration and modality and depending on the connections previously created, the thin client will show the desktop and eventually launch the connections.

By default, the generic thin client will present its desktop and its taskbar at the bottom of the desktop.
When a ThinMan Server is not installed on the network or it is not reachable from the thin client, the thin client will notify this condition showing the below message.
If you have an installed ThinMan Server on the network please check the connection and verify the configuration (see Settings - Network - ThinMan).
If you don't have an installed ThinMan Server don't worry about the message.
ThinMan Server
To obtain the best in terms of automatic configuration of the ThinOX devices use the ThinMan Server to manage them properly.To be able to use all ThinMan features, configure the ThinOX device to point the ThinMan Server. For more information, read ThinMan Configuration and How to Setup ThinMan Address on Thin Client).
The thin client can be powered off or rebooted through many different ways.
Depending on the action a window may be shown requesting to select the type of operation to be executed. After 10 seconds if there is no selection from the user, the device is powered off.
You can find the volume control at the right part of the taskbar (available if the thin client is configured with the Desktop Modality).
Click on the speaker icon to turn off volumne.
Right click on the speaker to open the contextual menu.
Click on Open Mixer to change the volume.

The volume modified using this widget is not saved as a thin client property but it is reset to the default on the next reboot (for more information about how to set a default value for the volume, read Sound Configuration).
