¶ User Interface provided by the Praim Desktop Client
A different user interface to access a Citrix farm/server is provided using the Praim Desktop Client.
When the device starts it automatically request for user credential. Insert valid user credential and press "Login".
All the published application/desktop icons available to the user are visualized in the device desktop (visualization depends also on serverside application properties).
Server Side Application Settings
On the Citrix Studio server be sure to thick the "Add shortcut to the user desktop" properties of every application or desktop that has to be visible on the ThinOX desktop. Without this properties, the application could not be correctly visualized.
A mouse double-click on an icon will start the specific application (e.g. in the image above the "notepad" application is started). You can launch multiple applications.
On the taskbar (lower left part of the screen) there is an icon-control where you can:
- Logoff from the session (the running application will be closed and the icons on the desktop will disappear until a new Login is executed from the same menu);
- Refresh Apps: refresh the list of published apps/desktops.
On the "Desktops" menu you can find the published desktops.
On the "Applications" menu you can find the published applications.
¶ Configuration of the Praim Desktop Client
Praim XenApp Services is available as connection type in the Citrix Receiver Connection. Create a new Citrix Receiver Connection and select "Praim Desktop Client" as connection type.
In the "Server" tab Insert the address of the farm/server. The configuration parameters are the same as those explained in the Citrix Receiver Connection chapter.
Address Information
Depending on the server version you could insert different pathnames. Typically try:http(s)://<servername>/Citrix/PNAgent/config.xmlorhttp(s)://<servername>/Citrix/Store/PNAgent/config.xmlFor a Netscaler connection insert only the server Address (e.g.http(s)://citrix.dc.com)
Once the address is inserted you can change more parameters for the connection. The parameters are the same as those explained in the Citrix Receiver Connection chapter.
