This chapter will explain how to install and remove the ThinMan Gateway Software (G1000W) on a Windows PC/VirtualPC.
IMPORTANT NOTE
After the installation phase, described below, to enable all the features and the capabilities you MUST Manage the ThinMan Gateway from the ThinMan Console.To UPDATE a ThinMan Gateway Software (G1000W) installation, follow the guide available at ThinMan Gateway Update.
The ThinMan Gateway (G1000W) installation file can be downloaded from the MyPraim area on the "Products -> Download" section.

Run the installation file "ThinManGatewaySetup_G100W_x.y.z.exe" on the computer where you want to install the ThinMan Gateway.
The following window will appear on display.
Click "Next" to confirm the installation.
Read and accept the "License Agreement", then click "Next" to continue.
You may choose a different directory where to install the software by clicking on "Browse...".
Click "Next" to proceed with the operation.
On this window you have to insert the configuration values for the ThinMan Gateway:

Port Default
Praim suggests leaving the HTTP and HTTPS ports to their default values. A change in this values means that those values need to be configured elsewhere. E.g., a change in the HTTPS port means that the port has to be configured in all thin clients referring to the specific ThinMan Gateway in order they will be able to contact the ThinMan Gateway successfully.
Password protection
Praim suggests leaving the HTTP and HTTPS ports to their default values. A change in this values means that those values need to be configured elsewhere. E.g., a change in the HTTPS port means that the port has to be configured in all thin clients referring to the specific ThinMan Gateway in order they will be able to contact the ThinMan Gateway successfully.
A status bar will show the progress of the installation.
The software is now installed. Click "Finish" to end the installation.
IMPORTANT NOTE
At this point, the ThinMan Gateway is installed and is connected to the ThinMan Server. To enable all the features, you have to Manage the ThinMan Gateway from the ThinMan Console.
ThinMan Gateway can be removed using the "Control Panel" -> "Programs and Features".
Access the "Control Panel" from Windows Menu "Start" and then double-click on "Programs and Features". Scroll the list of the installed software and select "Praim - ThinMan Gateway".
Click on "Uninstall/Change".
From the window click "Uninstall".
A status bar will show the progress of the removing process.
The software is removed, click on "Close" to exit the removing process. Once the software is removed, the thin client attested on the ThinMan Gateway could not contact the ThinMan Server.
