In this case, the entire B91-VDI firmware is provided by Praim in an image file. The image file contains both the Ubuntu Mate O.S. (not the whole standard Ubuntu Mate image but a tailored firmware with the appropriate clients) and the Agile client software.
Only for B91-VDI Praim hardware
Use this procedure only for Praim Berry B91-VDI hardware.
If you want to release the Agile4Pi software on your own Raspberry hardware, use the procedure available at this link: How to install the Ubuntu Mate and the Agile4Pi Client on a Raspberry hardware and license it with ThinMan.
A microSD (16 GB) that will contain the B91-VDI image. Remind: the data stored in the microSD are lost after the process.
The Berry B91-VDI device must be notify themselves at least once to a ThinMan Server (this operation saves the B91-VDI license on the ThinMan).
To flash the micro-SD, you must use a PC. Download on the PC, from the Etcher website (link: https://etcher.io/), the Etcher software that is needed to write the entire B91-VDI image on the micro SD. For this specific tutorial the 64-bit portable software is used, and so you don't need to install anything on your Windows PC. Note: screenshots are taken using the version 1.4.4, so they could be a little bit different for other versions or other operating systems (e.g., for Mac).
Download the B91-VDI image file, that contains the Ubuntu Mate O.S. and the Agile client, from the MyPraim area under the menu "My Products" → "Download" and search for the "Praim Berry B91-VDI ver.x.y.z" (e.g., "B91-VDI_v1.0.3.raw.xz"). This firmware image is used to flash the micro-SD of the B91-VDI hardware. Save the image file on a convenient directory of the PC.
Execute the Etcher software on the PC.
Click on the "Select image" button; browse to the directory where you previously saved the image file and select it.
Insert the microSD (if needed use an adapter) in the PC. If your PC has only this single drive Etcher will select it automatically; if not click the "Select drive" button and select it manually.
To start the flash of the image file onto the microSD click on "Flash!" button. The process begins and writes the microSD device.
After some minutes the process finishes (it flash the microSD and then verify what was written on it). You can now remove the microSD card from the PC.
Insert the microSD into the Berry B91-VDI hardware and power it on.
Once the B91-VDI starts let it contact the ThinMan Server to obtain the previously saved license (see above the "Requirements" section).
If there is an error, once you start the Agile configurator it will ask for a valid ThinMan Server address that owns the B91-VDI license key.
