Enable port-based authentication: It allows to enable the Port-Based IEEE802.1x Authentication.
Assume not supported after: Time (in seconds) needed to detect whether the device is physically located inside a network that supports the 802.1x. Be careful with slow networks, the detection could take some time. In this case, choosing a number near to 0 could lead to mistakenly assume the 802.1x is not supported. This feature is particularly helpful when there is a high probability the device could be used in different locations some supporting this type of authentication while others not. E.g. a device used at the office or at home.
Force to occur on: when not selected, ThinOX will try all available Ethernet interfaces to perform the 802.1X authentication. Otherwise, ThinOX will try only on the selected interface. ThinOX will try to connect for N seconds (previous option). If the connection fails, ThinOX will show a message asking the user to connect to a 802.1X-capable network.
Disable temporarily if not supported by any network: when selected, it will disable temporarily the 802.1X authentication if it is not supported by the any network.
If no carrier for a duration: It is possible to configure the action to be take when a physical disconnection has been detected above a specific number of seconds (by default, 5 seconds). This action can be: do nothing,re-authenticate (ThinOX will force a logoff and then perform a new 802.1X authentication) or reboot device ( ThinOX will reboot the thin-client).
