The Browser connection allows creating a connection based on Firefox/Chrome browser.
On the "Description" tab, select the browser to use and insert the connection name.
On the "Options" tab you can:
Initial Page: set the page to which the browser connects to after the connection starts.
Password required: set the password to start the browser.
Enable Kiosk Mode: select this option to start the browser in full-screen mode.
Enable Incognito Mode: select this option to avoid the browser remembers your activity.
Clean Downloaded files at exit: select this option to delete downloaded files when disconnecting.
Maintain configuration (selected files): On Firefox, it saves everything but: cache, startupCache, XUL.mfasl, XPC.mfasl, urlclassifier3.sqlite, xhromeappstore.sqlite, content-prefs.sqlite, extensions.sqlite, extensions.json, extensions, places.sqlite, webappstore.sqlite, OfflineCache, storage/default, healthreport.sqlite, favicons.sqlite.On Chrome, it saves all the configuration. Use this option only if really necessary.
Maintain whole configuration: select this option to maintain everything including the exception files of the previous option. Use this option only if really necessary.
Credentials Management: select this option to avoid the browser storing username and password.
ThinMan & Browser Configuration
When, ThinMan saves the device configuration on a template, the values corresponding to "Maintain Whole Configuration" are not saved.
ThinOX Browser Connection & ThinMan Profile Manager
When saving the Offline Configuration of a ThinOX device where a Browser(Firefox/Chrome) connection has been configured. Be aware, the specific Browser settings are not saved on the template file. Thus, the specific Browser settings cannot be distributed through the Profile Manager.
When started the Browser will open itself and load the initial page. You can easily close the browser using the CTRL + F4 hotkey.
