When you need to remove the microSD card from Praim B91-VDI Berry strictly adhere to the following procedure.
Following the sequence depicted below you can remove the internal microSD card without any hardware damage and avoiding to invalidate warranty terms.
Precaution against Electrical and Electrostatic Damages
Please keep in mind you are dealing with an electronic device. Although powered by a 5V external power supply, observe the following safety precautions in order to avoid device damages:
turn off the device and disconnect the power connector;
wait for 20 second before starting opening procedure;
adopt all best practices in order to avoid electrostatic shock that may damage main board;
never reconnect the power supply until the device cover be properly repositioned again.
¶ Tools required
Tools required for B91-VDI model opening are:
- Philips (star) screwdriver PH0 size;
- plastic spudger (cover opening tool - optional).
¶ Case Opening Procedure
- Screws Localisation Overturn the device and orient it accordingly with the labels position as shown in the picture below. Remove the rubber support located by the upper-right corner, marked with a yellow circle in the picture: it's hiding a cover locking screw.
- Screws Removing Using screwdriver PH 1 size, unlock and remove screws highlighted in the picture.
Pay attention to extract screws totally from the rear plastic panel in order to be sure it be free and removable.
- Rear Panel Unlocking Using plastic spudger (or simply your thumbnail) leverage into the specific cavity located on the Berry short side, opposite to the port connections side, in order to unlock the rear plastic panel.
Unlock but don't remove jet
Just unlocked, the rear panel opens 2-3 mm, as a book, rotating on posterior fragile pivots. See picture above taken from above and side.Don't remove panel rotating it, but look at the next step.
- Rear Panel Removing Be carefully to remove the plastic rear panel moving it away in parallel way from the Berry's chassis as depicted below.
This precaution is intended to avoid to damage the fragile pivots placed by the corner connection ports-side, marked in the pictures above.
¶ Replace MicroSD Card
- MicroSD Card Connector On the central bottom Berry motherboard, the microSD Card connector is placed.
- Remove Micro SD Card Remove card sliding it downwards.
- Replace MicroSD CardReplace the microSD card inserting it in the connector, observing the correct card side as depicted below.
¶ Case Closing Procedure
In order to close the Berry case again, follows the case opening sequence in reversed order.
